When your domain name was originally registered you would have provided some contact details (such as company name, address, phone number and email address). These contact details are referred to as the Administrative Contact for the domain name.
To transfer your domain name to Ingenuity Hosting the Administrative Contact for your domain name has to approve the transfer. A domain transfer can be approved by:
– Sending us your domain name Registry Key or Auth-Info code
– Sending us an email at email@example.com
If you are unsure of what a Registry Key or Auth-Info code is, we can organise for this to be emailed to you (as long as the email address used when the domain was originally registered is still valid and is a .au domain).
You do not need to transfer the management of your domain name to Ingenuity Hosting for us to host your website or email. If you wish to manage your own domain all you need to do to transfer your hosting to us is delegate your domain name to point to our servers. However you are responsible for your domain, and we will not be able to help you if you let it expire.
